Privacy policy

When you send a request list, we collect the company details, contact details, delivery address and part list you enter. When you call us, we collect the number you call from and a transcript and summary of the call. When you text us, we collect your mobile number and the message.

If you type an email address into the request form and leave before sending the request, we keep the address and the part list you had built so that we can follow up. Write to requests@gatewellusa.com to have that record deleted.

A file you upload on the request page, a bill of materials in any format, is stored as uploaded with your request record and read by us. It is not opened by any automated process and is shared with nobody outside the service providers that run our site and email.

Each record we keep from a form on this site also notes the page where your visit began, the time it began, the host name of the site that sent you there and any campaign tags in the link you followed. An email address you give us on a form, at checkout or when you save a cart goes on our mailing list for occasional updates relevant to what you asked about, such as a part moving in stock or price; every such email carries an unsubscribe link, and a cart saved with your email may receive one reminder.

Each record also notes the internet address the form was sent from, the country, region and city that address resolves to, the network it belongs to, and the browser used. We look the address up in the public registry record of its network and with the IP intelligence services ipapi.is and proxycheck.io, which report whether it is a datacenter, VPN or proxy address. Those services receive the address and nothing else about you. We use this to screen requests as US export regulations require.

When a visit arrives from outside this site, the page sends the path, the referring site's host name and any campaign tags in the link to our monitoring service, which records which search engines and AI assistants send visitors here. No cookie is set, that service receives no IP address, browser details or identifier, and movement inside the site is not sent.

We use this information to review your request, verify your company as required by US export regulations, prepare a quote, fulfill an order and keep the records that those regulations require us to keep for five years.

If you ask us to text you, we send messages about your request only: the link to the request page or to the AI Compute section, a note that your request was received, and a note that your quote was emailed. Message frequency varies with your request and is typically one to three messages per request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or email requests@gatewellusa.com. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

When you pay an AI Compute order at checkout, Stripe, Inc. collects your bank account details and, with your consent at your bank through Stripe Financial Connections, the account holder's name and address and the account balance. Stripe handles that data under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy. From Stripe we keep with your order record the bank name, the last four digits of the account, the account holder type, the time, network address and browser of your payment authorization, and a yes or no on whether the account holder matches your order and whether the balance covered the amount when you authorized it. We do not store your account number, balance figures, owner names or addresses. A payment by wire or ACH against an invoice arrives at our bank, where we see the sender name and the amount.

We share your information only with the service providers that run our site, payment, telephone, messaging and email systems, with authorized distributors and carriers as needed to fulfill an order, and with government agencies where export regulations require it. We do not sell personal information.
