The cost of a FortiCare renewal is set by the device model, the support level and the term. Fortinet's support SKUs carry the model in the part number and end in the term in months, such as 36 for three years. Renewals for a FortiGate 120G and a FortiGate 200G are different SKUs.

The three support levels
- FortiCare Essentials. Web-based support for price-sensitive deployments. Fortinet lists it for desktop models.
- FortiCare Premium. Dedicated 24x7x365 support, a one-hour response on P1 and P2 issues by phone and a next-business-day response on P3 issues by web.
- FortiCare Elite. A 15-minute response on P1 and P2 issues, two hours on P3 issues, extended end of engineering support on designated long-term support releases and the FortiCare Elite portal. Fortinet offers Elite on supported product lines.
Premium and Elite per-device contracts include standard next-business-day RMA delivery.
Bundles carry Premium
Fortinet sells FortiGuard services as bundles or a la carte. All bundles include FortiCare Premium by default. Fortinet sells an add-on SKU that lifts a bundle to Elite. An existing contract moves to Elite with Fortinet's co-term upgrade SKU.
Faster hardware replacement
Fortinet sells premium RMA add-ons for devices on Premium or Elite contracts:
- Next calendar day delivery
- 4-hour hardware delivery
- 4-hour hardware delivery with an onsite engineer
These come in 1, 3 or 5 year contracts. Fortinet notes that they are not available in all locations. Its Secure RMA add-on lets you keep the defective unit and its data on your premises.
