Questions

Which adapter goes with which GPU?

ConnectX-7 400G pairs with H100, H200 and B200 systems. ConnectX-8 pairs with B300 and GB300. Each accelerator page lists its pairings.

Why is there no 400G active optical cable?

NVIDIA's 400G OSFP line is copper cables plus transceivers. For an optical link, pair the 400G single port transceiver on the card with the 800G twin port transceiver on the switch and multimode fiber between them.
